My husband and I moved to this area from San Pedro in 1993. I had been attending Calvary Chapel South Bay there and thought this would be similar. Ha! Nothing is similar to Capo Beach Church:) The first service I attended was on the 4th of July. I saw the ushers in Hawaiian shirts and flip flops and thought that there must be a church picnic or something happening after service. I was not at all familiar with our beachy, family-style, friendly atmosphere, but I fell into its arms real quick. It was like falling into the arms of God! Putting people in touch with God ... oh yeah!
I am a servant/leader in the One-on-One SoulCare Ministry. We offer confidential, free of charge spiritual companionship. I believe my gifts are teaching, encouragement, and faith. God has provided opportunities for me in Women's Bible Study and Prayer, along with One-on-One, but these are just the formal ways. We are all called to come alongside others to stir up love and good works (Hebrews 10:24).
