As parents, you not only have the privilege of praying for and with your children, but you also have the authority to bless them with your words. A typical baby dedication at CBC starts with a pastor inviting you and your baby up on stage at a service of your choice. That pastor says a prayer over you and your baby before handing them back to you for your blessing. Typically, one or both of you have a written blessing that you will speak over your child's life. Dedicating your baby in front of the rest of the church demonstrates the importance of community and support that is needed when raising your children.
Before you schedule a time to dedicate your baby, we ask that you attend one of our Baby Dedication Classes, taught by Larry Leisenring. He hosts the class on the second Thursday of each month, during service at 7:00 PM. Childcare is provided at that time.
