Our spiritual life involves constant progress. That progress is marked by transitions from one level of faith to another. Baptism is the mark of our most important transition. The ritual of baptism duplicates the model of Jesus Christ when He was crucified, buried, and returned to life. When Christ rose, His body was different than before. He was free from the limitations and pain of mortality. This is the transition from death to life. The Christian life follows His pattern. We "sacrifice" our lives by giving them to God. Our old lives, with their wrong actions and evil desires, are "buried." God then gives us a new life, inspired and energized by His Spirit.

Baptism represents this three stage process. We believe in Jesus and join Him in His death, burial, and resurrection. Baptism is our rite-of-passage into the Christian life. If you're ready to follow Jesus, you're ready to be baptized. Sign up to the right for the next baptism opportunity.

What to Expect

At 5:30 PM, an hour before the service starts, you will join others who will be baptized for a class in the prayer room. We will go over the beliefs behind baptism by looking at different stories in scripture, and instructions from the apostles. We will answer any questions you may have, and pray with you, as well.

We encourage your family or friends to find a seat early up front by the baptism tub. They are welcome to take pictures, however, there will be a professional photographer capturing images that will all be available to you, via an online gallery, a few days after the service.

You can expect to receive a baptism certificate in the mail within a couple of weeks of being baptized.
