One way to stay in touch with us is through our Email Newsletter. These usually go out once a month with updates on our church events and perspectives from staff and leaders. We would love to keep in touch with you too!
"But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand." Isaiah 64:8
The Bible paints a picture for us of God expressing Himself through the creation of His masterpieces. His works of art have names and faces, as well as the ability to creatively express themselves. Here at CBC, we value and appreciate creative art in various forms, and our hallway is dedicated to displaying artwork from local artists.

Describing myself as an artist is a bit of a conundrum. Studio Artist? Yes. Performance Artist? Yes. Environmental Designer? Yes. Graphic Designer? Yes. Bored with only one way to express art? Yes. I like to say that I’m a bit of a Mad Hatter in that I put on many hats. Some would say having too many hats would compromise the uniqueness of the other hat, but I say it affords me the opportunity to get into more tea parties that have different dress codes. It also allows me to travel all over the country and beyond. All this to say, if the hat fits–I wear it.
With my studio art, I love the contrasts of colors, textures and materials, which leads me to use whatever is lying around–literally. Some of the works incorporate the used tools of my performance art, and others utilize old furniture pieces or scrap materials. The familiarity of the materials make the pieces more personal and challenging in their limitations. One limitation a framed canvas has is its depth, hence the constructive qualities of most of the work you will find in this show. The marriage of contrasts in life and art is something that appeals to me and a quality I am always pursuing.
