About Don
I accepted the Lord at Calvary Chapel in Dana Point in February,1980. It happened at a Daryl Mansfield concert. It was a two year process of God drawing me to himself. As a spiritual leader, I am responsible for helping with Communion, praying for the sick, doing hospital visits, and teaching when called upon. I go on the trips to Russia and Swaziland to minister to the orphans. I also went to the sites of 9-11 and Katrina to minister to the needy and hurting. I function in the gifts of prophecy, word of knowledge, and healing.
About Kathy
In 1980, I met my future husband at Albertson's in Dana Point and he invited me to Calvary Chapel Dana Point. I've been attending every since! God called me to be in leadership years ago when Chuck Smith, Jr., was our pastor and he approved. I went through John Hollowell's training, and yes, I passed the course. In the past, I have been involved in art projects from stage set painting to teaching art in Jr. High, helping out with Capo Beach Christian School, co-leader of the Women's Bible Study with Jeanne Whittaker, and helping with The Tabernacle Experience. I presentingly volunteer in Communion and work with my husband, Don, in different areas of the church. My gifts are in art, working with young adults, and working in ministry with my family.
