We were living in La Cresenta and driving to Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. We decided to move to Laguna Beach and wound up attending Calvary Chapel of Dana Point on the hill. We became a part of the church plant at Calvary Chapel Laguna Beach until the meeting site was lost, and then we returned to Dana Point. We finally settled here after moving our residence to Dana Point when the bowling alley was purchased.
What I do here
As the Associate Pastor of Recovery, I am the Staff Pastor for the Bridge, our faith based 12-step program. As a Certified Addiction Counselor (CATC II) and Mental Health Worker, I am in the Care Dept. providing counseling, recovery, and encouragement as a counseling pastor dealing with the shortfalls of life.
Why I do what I do
Some years ago I read a then 12 year old statistic that said 1 in 4 children are in a home where there is some form of substance abuse. As a counseling pastor much of my time is spent in dealing with personal and family issues caused by the consequences of such behavior My concerns and priorities have always been for our children who for the most part are the victims so I went back to school for four years to equip my self with certificating programs that gave me the tools to better do my job
