I started volunteering in children's ministry when my youngest daughter entered kindergarten, and have always enjoyed helping the kids and spending time with them, teaching and learning God's Word. In 2004, I started working at CBC in the front office. A year or so later, the childcare director at the time was leaving and I was offered the position.
What I do here
I am still involved in children's ministry and teach K - 5th at our mid-week service. During all of our weekend services, I can be found in the church nursery with our youngest members, birth - four year olds. I also schedule and coordinate all of the childcare workers at CBC. The staff is primarily high school kids so I get the privilege of working with teenagers and toddlers!!
Why I do what I do
God brought me to CBC in 1996, a few months after moving to Dana Point. I immediately felt at home! Being a mom was a full-time job so I needed the support and fellowship I found at CBC. As my life changed, God continued to open doors. My heart has always been for children and I couldn't think of anywhere else I'd rather be.
