Friday - Psalm 103:7

“He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel.”   Psalm 103:7

Ever wonder what God is up to? Ever question why God does what He does or why things are the way they are?  Of course you have. We all have questioned God from time to time. I believe God does not mind your questions and He isn’t afraid of any of them. So keep the questions coming.

But, the reality is, if we want to know the ways of God, and we want to know His deeds and why He does them. First of all, we must begin with humility, we must begin with praise. God is God and we are not. So, it is unreasonable for us to know everything about God and what He does. However, we can know His ways and we can understand His actions toward us.

It starts with a position of praise. It starts on our knees. This set of verses gives us two doctrinal truths we can count on: The first is, we begin humbly accepting the ways of God as right and true. David commanded his soul to praise God, to give his heart room to humbly receive revelation to the ways of God and a clearer picture of God’s plan. It starts on our knees. It starts with humility.

The second is trust. Trusting God starts on our knees, too. We can walk with God better on our knees. God wants to lead and guide us.  John 16:13 says, “His Spirit will guide us INTO all truth.” Our problem is we are running ahead of God trying to make it happen. We need to let God lead and then we will see His ways: Not the bad results of our impulsive ways.

During this Good Friday, try and let go of what is stressing you out and give the pressure to God. Let HIM lead. He loves you and can guide you far better than you can guide yourself.

When we know His ways, we are HOME.

Where do we start when it comes to finding the ways of God? How does this work as we have read in the scripture?

How do I let God lead? What does this look like?

How do I know I am allowing God to lead? I know I need to move forward … how do I follow God?
