In Matthew 4 it says, “One day as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers—Simon, also called Peter, and Andrew—throwing a net into the water, for they fished for a living. Jesus called out to them, Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people! And they left their nets at once and followed him.”
Our heart at Straight Up is for students to begin following Jesus and fishing for people through becoming a Student Leader within our ministry. Student leadership at Straight Up is all about being bought into what we are doing and committed to loving God and loving others at all of our services, events, and trips. Many of our leaders arrive early or stay late to help out with whatever needs we may have.
Our aim is for Straight Up to become a safe place of love, grace, and forgiveness for middle school students in Capo Beach! If your student is interested in becoming a Student Leader at Straight Up, please contact Chris Boice.
